Nascar No Love For iPhone?

iPhone apps seems to be popping up everywhere for everything people can think of these days. So it is to my very surprise that I cannot find an app specific to Nascar in the App Store! Is there no iPhone developer also a Nascar fans out there?

I was then curious to find out any web app for the iPhone developed specifically for Nascar. I searched the 'sports' category in Apple's web apps directory and I found something called 'iNascar.' The site links to www.michaelstambaugh.com. But when I clicked on it, it showed nothing except for this phrase: I'll be back. Other than this entry, I cannot find anything else in the directory.

After further search on Google, I finally came across something decent. The website finallapradio.com
has a custom version of the site for iPhone/iTouch users. It contains news, schedules, results and podcasts related to the sport. It is very nicely done. I just wish it is listed on Apple's site so that more people know about it.

Live Poker by Zynga

Zynga, maker of the popular poker app on Facebook, brings the same poker experience for mobile users. The iphone version allows users to play in the same network of users and communities built in Facebook. That means you can use your existing account and stats from Facebook.

The graphic is top notch and has not crashed my iTouch like many other fairly complex and network intense applications. The game is packed with features from its Facebook counterpart. You can chat with others at the table, check out their poker profiles as well as buy a round of beers for the table.

The gameplay itself is a bit sluggish. I got removed from the table several times for no reasons. It blames on my internet connection. But I am using my stable Wifi connection at home.

Live Poker integration with MySpace account will be supported soon. I hope they resolve the stability issue before introducing another huge load of users onto their servers.
