    • Combining two pretty great ideas in a way that is all kinds of illegal in the US, the China-produced NokiPhone N3000i looks to be a pretty straightforward iPhone ripoff with bonus N95-esque dual slider capabilities. The GSM smartphone's got 3.2-inch QVGA screen, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, dual SIM support, microSD slot, and video recording capabilities. Price of admission is $129 right now, which according to chinagrabber is a hefty discount from its $400 MSRP. Your move, NOKLA . [Via PMP Today ] Filed under:…

        • The phone in the picture is the HiPhone Nano which is a weird handset meant to confuse us. What does it clone? There’s no iPhone nano despite the huge buzz created around it a while ago. Did the makers of the HiPhone Nano fall for all those articles and pictures depicting iPhone nanos?

          • Filed under: Software , iPhone , First Look , App Review The iPhone's built-in camera is a prime target for improvements. We've seen iPhone cases with built-in wide-angle lenses, iPhone cases with zoom lenses, and a plethora of apps to manipulate photos. Camera Zoom (click opens iTunes) is a new US$0.99 app from KendiTech that provides a 4x digital zoom for your iPhone camera. Camera Zoom displays a preview in real time, just like the regular camera app. You use a slider to adjust the level of…
          • When I was trying to restore my iPhone 2.2.1, it showed the above message in “Set Up My iPhone”. I do backup correctly everytime I synced with computer, but iTunes does not do the job well. I have retried several times but it didn’t help. Don’t know why it happens. Lesson learned: You can’t trust [...]

              • Filed under: iPhone , App Store , First Look , App Review Earlier this week Nine Inch Nails released NIN: Access [iTunes link], an official iPhone app for the band's website . Although releasing an official band-branded mobile application isn't an entirely new idea -- Death Cab for Cutie [iTunes link] released an app earlier this year and Snow Patrol [iTunes link] released an interactive booklet for their latest album back in October -- NIN: Access goes a step further by bringing the community…

                        • One of my favorite Tom Hanks movies of all time is Big. If you have seen the film before, you may recall that he used a fortune telling machine at the fair to make himself, well, big. Zoltor, a new application now available at the App Store, offers up a fairly creepy re-creation of this [...]

Considering that Hulu is currently…

It's really easy, and cheap. Here's how. If you saw our feature earlier in the week, you know Michael Fremer is crazy about vinyl . He's been defending its merits ever since digital formats started to surface, and has published several DVDs detailing how best to set up a number of nice audiophile turntables. But of course, you don't have to have…
